DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL Signs With CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS
October 23, 2009U.K. six-piece DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL has inked a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. The band's as-yet-untitled new album will be released in early 2010.
DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL will touring Europe in November and play a special one-off show in London on December 10 at the upstairs of the Relentless Garage as a way of both celebrating the completion of the new CD and the record deal signing. Look out for more U.K. and European support tours throughout the start of 2010, as well as a headline tour in March/April 2010.
Formed from the final embers of the much loved and hugely influential MAHOMUDO, DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL recorded its debut mini-album, "Darkness Prevails", in 2006 with producer Mark Williams (OCEANSIZE, FIGHTSTAR) and released the effort through Visible Noise (LOSTPROPHETS, BRING ME THE HORIZON). Soon after, DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL decided to do things completely its own way. This meant not just self-produce and self-record its debut album, "A Fragile Hope", but also set up the Black Willow to self-release it.
Hitting shops in late 2007, "A Fragile Hope" became a true underground classic and received almost unanimous praise from the press. It opened up many doors for the band and has led to their finding a new home at Century Media Records.
DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL has toured across Europe as headliner a number of times, but also supported and played gigs with the likes of GENGHIS TRON, GALLOWS, BRING ME THE HORIZON, RED SPARROWES, SKINDRED, ARCHITECHTS, CULT OF LUNA and many more. They also played shows for Rock Sound and Kerrang! magazines, including headlining the Koko venue in London for Klub Kerrang! in 2008, and played festivals like Download, T in the Park, Slam Dunk and this year headlined the Thrash Hits stage at Offset.
